A delicious roast duck or duck breast to order and pick it up yourself always tastes good.

Today, due to the lockdown, unfortunately only "forced" to pick it up! Sensational goose to take away and make yourself at home by Florian Spindler. The collection went really well, I took another bottle of poe rava - Cabernet Cubin (from brother Markus) and decanted it when I got home. A simple description for completion is attached - ran smoothly and after just under 1 hour everything was hot and tasty on the table. Goose, potato dumplings, keschde, red cabbage, jus, even breadcrumbs melted in butter and the goose lard that go with it were not missing. To top it off, a few macarons homemade by Alex Spindler for dessert and the remaining drops of red wine will round off my afternoon nap! Big cinema!

Chic wine bar with seating on two levels. Fine selection of dishes on a manageable menu. Wine selection understandably from their own winery. Friendly service that reminds you of an order at one point or another. Current hygiene measures are being implemented, even air purifiers are being installed. Only 3-4 parking spaces in our own courtyard. Manageable parking spaces in the small alley, but easy to reach on foot from the signposted parking spaces on the outskirts.

A good choice for 400 years The renowned estate bar is located in the picturesque wine town of Forst and is celebrating its 400th anniversary this year. We have been visiting the Palatinate Wine Route for 40 years and a visit to the Spindeler winery is mandatory for us. The tasteful, rustic wine bar has been carefully renovated and the beautiful garden is unique. There you can enjoy first-class wines and classic Palatinate cuisine under shady trees. The generation change is noticeable in the menu: In addition to saumagi, liver dumplings, rump steak and sausages, dishes such as black pudding with walnut brittle, mashed potatoes and beluga lentils can also be found on the menu. The Spindler burger with boiled beef, pastrami, crispy fried bacon, white cabbage, onions and rocket also tasted surprisingly good. We can only recommend every visitor to the Wine Route to take a break at the Spindler vineyard - if the weather is nice, be sure to visit the beautiful garden.

A wonderful evening in a great vineyard. Very friendly young hosts, good wine, a great goat cheese strudel, the best liver dumplings ever, great ambience under an impressive plane tree, reasonable prices. Just very good!

Beautiful wine garden, good food and very friendly service. Price / performance ok. There is a 1 point deduction for the uncomfortable chairs, which make it impossible to stay longer.

Very good restaurant with a very pleasant garden. I love to dine there on a lovely sunny day sitting in the shadow in the garden. Very good from typical Pfälzer dishes to general german dishes. Nice arranged and tasty. And it does not stop there. The wine (organic!) is lovely. Not to forget the kind and friendly people making all this available. Thank you Spindler.

Coincidentally, an acquaintance recommended the Gutsausschank Spindler in Forst. Luckily we drove there and actually after a short wait we got a table in the wonderful landscaped garden under a huge tree. The food and wines were delicious at normal prices. The nightcap on the sun terrace overlooking the Wachtenburg and the Palatinate Forest was phenomenal ..... We will be back.
